Ambiti di ricerca IT:

Research EN:
My research activities examine plant diversity and spatial patterns: micro and macro perspectives and implications for habitat functioning, mainly developed in aquatic ecosystems and volcanic lakes. Starting from the PhD experience, during which I investigated the structure, quality and spatial gradients of submerged macrophytes and aquatic vegetations, the research was progressively expanded to include the ecological and phylogenetic analysis of target groups of aquatic species ( eg Elodea, Isoëtes). Moreover, I have acquired extensive experience in application fields, carrying out various project activities with many research institutions and scientific societies, including ISPRA, CNR, NIVA (Norwegian Institute of Water Research), Lazio Regions, Lombardy Region, Regional Natural Park of Bracciano Martignano, the Italian Botanical Society, the Italian Society of Vegetation Sciences and several professional studios that deal with conservation and environmental design and restoration. In summary, the research experiences as well as the applied activities have led to the implementation of activities based on virtuous paths of interaction between the academic and the business world.
