Roberto Rizzi is a distinguished expert in regenerative medicine, recognized for his leadership and innovation in the development of advanced 3D physiological models and human tissue engineering. His research focuses on introducing and integrating cutting-edge technologies that have significantly advanced the high-profile modeling of human physiology. Rizzi’s laboratory has become a hub for pioneering efforts in creating patient-specific 3D organs, including sophisticated organ-on-chip systems, microfluidic devices, organoids, and mini-organ models. These innovations are instrumental in the translational investigation of new therapeutic strategies, particularly in oncology and regenerative medicine. Roberto Rizzi's contributions have highlighted the essential roles of biophysical, biochemical, and environmental factors in the development of advanced in vitro methods, enhancing the precision and effectiveness of these models.
