The student must know the tasks of the TSRM in the various Radiotherapy procedures, the main radiotherapeutic techniques and the respective complexity of the technological aspects pertaining to the TSRM. He must also know the peculiarities of the work of a TSRM in radiotherapy and the responsibilities of the TSRM in radiotherapy.

Expected Learning Outcomes:
At the end of the course of "Radiotherapy Techniques " the student should be able to know: the concepts behind the theoretical and methodological foundations of Radiotherapy and the methods of use of the equipment used (linear accelerators); the methods of 2D Vs 3D simulation (traditional, CT, PET, MRI) and radiotherapy techniques, as well as their proper conduct, the energies used; the effects caused by ionizing radiation when it interacts with a biological system: deterministic, stochastic damage.
The student must also, be able to know the use of the workshop for the preparation of shielding blocks, as well as to use quality control methodologies and tools applied in Radiotherapy.
The student must apply, showing appropriate use of the technical scientific language proper to the discipline, skills, knowledge and understanding of the techniques of modern Oncology Radiotherapy, gained in the course, so as to demonstrate adequate skills in order to have a professional approach to the work.
The student must show the ability to inform, due to their skills, patients to be subjected to radiation treatment, on technological, technical, protection issues and possible risks related to exposure with high-energy ionizing radiation and, in conclusion, must demonstrate the ability to possess all the knowledge to be able to independently perform a centering with the appropriate use six immobilization systems, know how to position and align with the aid of precision lasers the patient, know how to interpret a treatment plan and perform a set-up, perform portal-vision verifications, correctly conduct with high precision sub millimeter isocentric techniques a radiation treatment.
