Goals:
Know the basics of emergency medicine and first aid: acute patient, respiratory support, assisted ventilation, neurological function and resuscitation. Knowing how to use protocols to evaluate the patient in a critical area and knowing how to develop targeted and individualized rehabilitation intervention plans that take into account the particular critical conditions of the patient. Knowing how to use specific tools and methods aimed at achieving the objectives set out in the rehabilitation intervention plan. Acquire appropriate terminology.

2. Colon rectum: anatomy; acute appendicitis, diverticular disease; Crohn's disease; ulcerative rectocolitis; toxic megacolon; polyps; polyposis; cancers of the colon rectum.
3. Ano: anatomy; haemorrhoids; anal fissures; perianal abscesses and fistulas;
4 Abdomen: peritonitis; abdominal abscesses; abdominal hernias; digestive haemorrhage; wounds; thrombosis; embolism.

Historical recalls of rehabilitation in surgery.
- General notions of thoracic and abdominal surgery and thoracic traumatology.
- Functional alterations and postoperative complications.
- RR guidelines: pre and postoperative treatment, therapeutic protocols and patient selection.
- Respiratory rehabilitation in critical areas.
- Rehabilitation of pulmonary resections.
- Rehabilitation in cardiac surgery and major abdominal surgery.
- Rehabilitation of complications: atelectasis, pneumothorax and pleurisy.
- Use of aids in postoperative rehabilitation: incentive spirometry (IS), PEP Mask, blow bottle, flutter.
- Rehabilitative practices in postoperative rehabilitation: mobilization and positioning, bronchial unblocking techniques, massage therapy and treatment of scars, DBEx, released exhalation (ER).
- Evidence search (EBPh) in rehabilitation.
