Objectives

The course aims to provide students with information on the principles of Vascular Radiology, with reference to radiological anatomy, equipment and protocols. The main aspects of Radioprotection will also be proposed.

Learning outcomes

The course aims to provide students with information on the principles of vascular radiology, including radiological anatomy, equipment, and protocols. The main aspects of radiation protection will also be covered

Prerequisites

Anatomy, physiology, radiology equipment, workplace safety, biological risk and physical risks

Programme

Module: DIAGNOSTICA PER IMMAGINI E RADIOTETRAPIA
The course aims to provide students with information on the principles of TC operation and the application of environmental prevention legislation
In particular, he tries to highlight the role of the TSRM in the execution of the various TC investigations and of the Quality controls:

Conventional stratigraphy
Computerized tomography -
Sequential CT equipment, Single-layer Spiral, Multilayer Spiral
Scanning and reconstruction parameters
TC Generations
Patient reception in diagnostics
Positioning and centering
Radiation protection
Quality Controls
Environmental prevention: risks and relative regulations
PACS storage

Module: SCIENZE TECNICHE MEDICHE APPLICATE
Definition of anesthesia: general, regional, sedation
Role and responsibilities of the anesthesiologist
ASA classification of anesthetic risk
General anesthesia: indications and main drugs
Sedation: levels (minimal, moderate, deep)
Regional anesthesia: general concepts
Commonly used techniques and drugs
Standard intraoperative monitoring
Vital signs: ECG, SpO₂, blood pressure
Common devices and interfaces
Airways: functional anatomy
Airway management devices: face mask, SGA, endotracheal tube
Role of the TSRM professional in the case of an intubated patient
Transfer and management of the critically ill patient
Anesthesiological considerations in CT, MRI, angiography, interventional radiology
Precautions in the presence of medical devices (pacemakers, pumps, ventilators)
Shock, cardiac arrest, anaphylactic reactions

Module: ANESTESIOLOGIA
The aim of the workshops is to deepen various topics covered during the lessons by developing them and applying them in practical activities; the methodology is focused on direct exercise, with the reference of the teacher / tutor of reference, and with the critical reflection of the consequent activities. The educational laboratory is characterized as:
Practical theoretical activity of preparation for internships in Conventional Diagnostics, Interventional Radiology, Radiotherapy, Nuclear Medicine, Radiation Protection, Health Physics, Administration of RIS and PACS System, Technical and Scientific English.
