At the end of the course the student must: have a general picture on the historical development of the knowledge and practices of care and care, so that the students are able to read and critically evaluate one or more short texts, indicated by the teacher, concerning the topics developed in the course. The influences of the Enlightenment thought on the development of the social role of medicine: hygiene and public health.

Frequency

The student is required to attend educational activities, formal, non-formal, vocational. The frequency is checked by the teachers through signature / updated lists provided by the Academic Office, as established by CCL. The certificate of mandatory attendance to the teaching course is required to the student to be admitted at the final test.

The attendance is mandatory, and it is verified during the lessons. It is possible to sustain the final test only with an attendance of 60%

Exam mode

Oral and written exams
To pass the exam the student must obtain a grade upper than 18/30 in each module. The student must demonstrate that he has acquired sufficient knowledge of the subjects of the course, a basic knowledge of the topics of the lessons and be able to apply the ethical principles of the medical practices
To achieve a score of 30/30 cum laude, the student must demonstrate that he has acquired excellent knowledge of all the topics covered during the course, being able to link them in a logical and consistent way

The final exam is composed of an integrated test (15 queries for each subject, one correct answer each query) followed by an oral exam on the whole program (one/two questions)
The final note is the mathematical mean of the notes in each subject of the integrated teach
To Pass the test student must obtain a note of 18/30 for each subject of the integrated teach. Student must possess a sufficient knowledge of the program
To obtain a note of 30/30 with distinction student must possess an excellent knowledge of the whole program using a correct terminology to expose the topics
