At the end of the Course the students will acquire advanced and critical knowledge to analyze educational context from different theoretical perspectives. Students will know tools for assessment and observation of
a) linguistic interaction between student and teacher and b) cognitive processes involved in literacy
The course also includes educational objectives related to practical experiences. Students will carry out a small empirical study in an educational context, which will lead them to face concrete instructional settings, to develop the capability of applying assessment tools and interpreting results consistently.
To implement these objectives, students will have to develop the following competencies:
- mastering the specialized terminology of Educational Psychology;
- translating the theoretical constructs of the tools they will use into an empirical study, suitably conducted;
- elaborating the empirical study itself in a consistent written form.
