Objectives

At the end of the course the student will have acquired basic knowledge related to the collection, representation and processing of epidemiological data; Concepts of prevalent and incident morbidity, mortality, lethality, endemic and epidemic distribution, generality of epidemiological studies, descriptive, analytical, experimental, measures of association and estimation of risk, screening tests, national and regional guidelines, quality indicators, average hospital stay. Knowledge of hardware and software. Know and use basic programs: Word, Excel, email service and programs for web research.
