Objectives
The student must acquire in-depth knowledge of the physiopathology of the main obstetric complications, develop advanced skills in the clinical and instrumental evaluation of pregnancies at risk and with complications, plan and manage obstetric care in emergency and urgent situations.
Learning outcomes
The module covers the study of specific diseases across six medical specialties: medical oncology, respiratory diseases, cardiovascular diseases, endocrinology, nephrology, and hematology. Further details will be provided regarding the onset of these conditions during pregnancy. Students will thus gain an understanding of how various diseases can interfere with the normal course of pregnancy and impact a woman's reproductive life; learning outcomes will focus on knowledge of these conditions, as well as their prevention, diagnosis, and management.
