Objectives

At the end of the course of SCIENZE DELL'IGIENE DENTALE I students must have the theoretical knowledge to develop a preventive plan focused on knowledge of the dento-periodontal health characteristics related to a proper home and professional oral hygiene maintenance and prevention, with particular attention to materials and techniques.

The student will be able to distinguish the characteristics of health and disease conditions and risk of adult and pediatric patients. In addition, at the end of the course students must have the practical skills of correctly communicate with the patient aimed at dento-periodontal health motivation, health Promotion in the field of Nutrition, oral hygiene, regular checkups, fluoride.

To pass the exam the student must obtain a grade of 18/30 in each module. The student must demonstrate that he has acquired sufficient knowledge of the
topics related to the science of Dental Hygiene, a basic knowledge of the topics of oral care, professional hygiene and periodontal anatomy and to be able to implement it in the future profession.
To achieve a score of 30/30 cum laude, the student must demonstrate that he has acquired excellent knowledge of all the topics covered during the course, being able to link them in a logical and consistent way.
The test is a barrier. The overall assessment also takes into account the opinions of the other teachers of the integrated course for each of which a test is scheduled.
