Module: MOTOR SCIENCES
Module objectives:
At the end of the module the student will have to:
- know and understand the fundamental methodological-operational aspects of epidemiology, particularly in the field of preventive medicine and health promotion and prophylactic actions;
- know how to use prophylaxis techniques and tools;
- be able to interpret and prevent Care-Related Infections.

Module: HEALTH CARE
Knowledge and understanding skills:demonstrate knowledge and understanding skills with the support of material provided in class;
Ability to apply knowledge and understanding: be able to apply acquired knowledge competently and reflectively: possess adequate skills both to devise and support arguments and to solve problems and apply techniques and methods;
Autonomy of judgment: collect and interpret useful data to determine judgments independently;
Communication skills:communicating information, ideas, problems and solutions to specialist and non-specialist interlocutors;
Learning skills: develop the skills necessary to undertake further studies with a high degree of autonomy;

The student is provided on the specific topics with material in the form of handouts produced by the teacher and documents from the American College of Sports Medicine Guidelines for Exercise testing and Prescription (Wolters Kluver - Lippincott Williams & Wilkins). This material includes the current guidelines of the Ministry of Health on the promotion of physical activity in compliance with the new (January 2017) Essential Assistance Levels (LEA).

The student can also consult the following book, which can be downloaded from a website:
Designed to move. A Physical Activity Action Agenda. Edited by NIKE, American College of Sports Medicine e International Council of Sport (complete document can be downloaded from: http://www.sportsthinktank.com/uploads/designed-to-move-full-report.pdf).
