Chair (Coordinator) and Rapporteur: AUGUSTO MAZZONI
Lecturers
Objectives
The goal of the course is to supply the fundamentals about the geomatics technologies related to positioning and navigation (Global Navigation Satellite Systems – GNSS) and to archiving and management of geospatial data (Geographical Information Systems – GIS).
The presentation of the mentioned items will be completed with practical exercises.
To this aim, part of the teaching will focus on the fundamentals of Geodesy and Mapping.
Learning outcomes
Knowledge of the fundamental elements of Geodesy.
Familiarity with the concepts of reference system and coordinate system.
Knowledge of satellite positioning systems and observation processing.
Familiar with the concept of map projection.
