Educational objectives Main Goals of the course
The main objective of this course is to provide students with basic knowledge of the main methods of applied geophysics aimed at the study of soil and subsoil to identify the main physical and geometrical characteristics. The course provides the tools necessary to enable the student to independently choose the most appropriate methodology according to the proposed problem. At the end of the course the student will be able to follow geophysical survey and assess the quality of results.

Educational objectives Purposes
The course focuses on the core issues of the energy project of the built environment and aware transformation of the physical space (environmentally conscious design), eco-efficiency and sustainability of the transformation processes, planning, recovery and building renovation, systems and appropriate technology, with a strong and decisive accentuation of interest for the development prospects for application of advanced technologies and systems, renewable energy systems, in particular, their relationship with other active and passive systems in buildings, for outcomes that, overall, can be derived from the integration in architecture. The educational objectives of the course intend to outline new professional skills able to work with technical awareness and cultural sensitivity in the specific field of engineering and energetics, at different scales and levels of intervention, with methodological and operational tools required today, and necessary, against the continuous evolution of the conversion request, the urgency that the issues of sustainability and redevelopment of built environments impose in terms of eco-compatibility of the main interventions. The topics will include: the eco-efficiency of settlement systems and procedures to be implemented for proper practice of energy certification, design and bio-ecological rehabilitation of the built environment, plant systems, quality energy and bio-climatic performance of buildings, renewable integrated systems architecture, systems evaluation and monitoring of performance energy / environmental building structures, building materials, components and systems with innovative technology.
