Educational objectives Organizational neurosciences – a discipline so new that still lacks a clear epistemological statute- deals with the role of physiological and neurological variables in the dynamics of group interaction and organizational processes. The course revolves around the link between organizational and social neurosciences and examines how techniques and methods are applied in organizational and work settings (decision making, emotional and empathic processes, inter-individual and inter-group interactions).

Students will acquire knowledge about the current debate concerning the epistemological foundations of organizational neuroscience, a discipline so new that still lacks a precise status. Novel knowledge about how individual physiological and neurological reactivity is modified by dyadic, group and organizational interactions.

Students will be able to develop general skills in deepening knowledge related to the same topic explored by different scientific disciplines (e.g. social psychology, decision making, economics).

A fundamental aspect of the course is that all the students have to comment on the overview provided by the teacher on each class. This approach will induce students to search for explanations and alternative interpretations of theoretical and empirical contributions of specialty and not only general literature.

The course will include collegial discussion of scientific articles to which each student has to participate. This approach will lead the students to evaluate the impact their communication skills and improve them through the interactions with peers and the supervisor.

Educational objectives In an increasingly changing economic, technological, environmental and social context, organizations must be able to act with a new awareness, that is to face the challenges of current changes by reorienting the planning of the organization and work towards the inclusion of new emerging practices who consider new technologies and digital tools to be fundamental.
Therefore, in the lectures the course intends to provide on the one hand the basic elements to understand the functioning of organizations, to analyze the main organizational problems and to identify the solutions through appropriate tools, methodologies and techniques, while on the other hand, focusing on the function Human Resources of an organization, the course aims to address the impacts of some technological trends on the digital transformation, which runs at exponential speed, of the professions of organization and human resource management whose different knowledge and know-how are increasingly mediated by digital knowledge, digital tools and digital platforms. Lectures are interspersed with practical exercises on real and realistic business cases to apply knowledge and theoretical methods. In addition, to develop greater awareness of the challenges that today's organizations face in digital transformation, corporate managers are invited to give a lecture.The main objective of the course is to understand from a theoretical, methodological and practical point of view the company and its working context and is divided into specific learning objectives articulated according to the dimensions listed below.

Through interactive exercises and the discussion of organizational cases, students are led to develop critical
thinking and independent judgment. Furthermore, the intervention of company managers enriches students
to critically reflect on the complexity of real organizational contexts.

The teaching materials used to support the lectures, the various reference texts, the scientific and popular
articles, the sources on the web, the company maangers offer students a differentiated communicative
register. Furthermore, for the entire duration of the course, students are constantly encouraged to actively
participate in lectures and exercises. The diversification of these approaches guarantees a good exercise in
the development of communication skills.
