Learning outcomes

By the end of the course, students will have acquired high-quality knowledge, as well as the ability to reason and apply it in clinical practice.

Prerequisites

In order to understand the teaching content and to achieve the learning objectives, at the beginning of the didactic activities foreseen by the didactic module the student must possess the basic knowledge of radiation physics, human anatomy, biology and computer science.

Programme

By the end of the course, students will be able to orally describe the main imaging methods (X-ray, ultrasound, CT, MRI, and mammography). They will also understand how these methods are implemented through the use of natural and artificial contrast agents. Through the problem-based approach adopted in classroom discussions, students will be able to identify, describe, and analyze the technical and diagnostic methods used in X-ray, ultrasound, CT, mammography, and MRI examinations.
