The Online Architectural Design course is expressly conceived for use on the Net (platform moodle elearning2.uniroma1.it). This experimental course deals with the topic of architectonic composition introducing the concepts of "Links and Boundaries: Archetypal Contents for Innovative Design" as most representative of urban space and essential for the development of innovative design. The OAD Course aims to introduce the student to the idea of the persistence of “spatial archetypes” present, in different forms and guises, in the phenomenology of built context and to provide the student with a focused experience of project production. |

1014324 - GEOARCHITECTURE |
In the era of globalisation and of Anthropocene, geo-architecture -a word coined by Le Corbusier in 1942- aims to build a new sensitivity towards an architecture of responsibility, capable of uniting several trends in a common programme to give architecture back the almost lost objective of improving our lives. A humble architecture, in pursuit of dwelling on earth that is art without necessarily the arrogance of being an end unto itself; an architecture that assumes the responsibility of protecting the environment, reducing pollution, fighting inequality between peoples, reducing the processes of climate change that may destroy the balance that exists here on earth and its landscapes. |
