NEW ERASMUS PROGRAM + TRAINING AND ORIENTATION
Erasmus + is the new program of the European Union for education, training, youth and sport for the period 2014-2020. Replaces some European Union programs in the field of higher education including the previous Lifelong Learning Program - LLP / Erasmus.
Erasmus + promotes the "individual mobility for learning". The objective is to increase the opportunities for training abroad for students and trainees, aimed at acquiring the skills necessary to facilitate the transition to the world of work. To this end, Erasmus + offers students the opportunity to study and / or receive training abroad for up to 12 months within each cycle / level of study (three-year, master's, master's, doctorate, specialization course), and up to at 24 months for the single-cycle master's degree course, regardless of the type of mobility (study or internship) and the number of mobility periods, without additional registration costs, obtaining recognition of the training activity carried out.
For students who have already benefited from an Erasmus status, the remaining period with respect to the Erasmus grant previously obtained will be taken into account.
Candidates must necessarily possess the language level required by the host institution.
Students awarded an Erasmus + individual mobility grant receive a financial contribution commensurate with the cost of living in the destination country. Additional contributions will also be provided to students in disadvantaged economic situations, as well as students with disabilities. Further financial integration of Sapienza, the University of Rome and the Ministry of University and Research will be granted upon availability of the related funds.
In the event of exhaustion of EU funds, simultaneous assignment of other university or community funds, or upon specific request of the student, it will be possible to assign the status of “Erasmus zero grant” to the eligible students, which allows them to benefit from the mobility-related benefits. , without perceiving the contribution to mobility.
