Degree Programme

The Faculty of Communication Sciences and the former Faculty of Medicine and Surgery (now respectively the Faculty of Political Sciences, Sociology and Communications and the Faculty of Pharmacy and Medicine) set up the LM-9 and LM-59 interclass course in the 2010-2011 academic year in Biomedical Scientific Communication, in accordance with the regulations outlined in Ministerial Decree 270/2004.

The second cycle masters degree programme in Scientific Biomedical Communication aims to train communication experts in the biomedical field. The establishment of a course of this kind offers students the chance to align two different but increasingly close competences in our society and in contemporary professions. The interclass degree in Scientific Biomedical Communication provides specific training in the design and management of organizational and communication processes in the field of scientific research and health. Through this training, graduates acquire the ability to manage the ongoing innovation processes in public and private institutions operating in the health and research field, in order to enhance current resources and to redefine the image and public relations. They will acquire the ability to produce and manage scientific information and acquire the skills necessary for communicative mediation in all media systems, including both traditional and electronic forms, and will have competences in the various sectors of publishing, journalism, and the press offices of public and private institutions. All these skills can be used in networking existing resources and those that can be obtained from the innovative applications already in use in other countries of the European Union.
