The Manifesto of the Master of Science in Control Engineering prescribes only one curriculum, with a limited number of choices to be made.

All students should submit a study plan ("percorso formativo" in Italian) in which they specify

(i) which courses have been actually chosen within the optional groups available in the Manifesto,

(ii) which elective courses (among courses in any programme of study at Sapienza) have been selected.

For special choices, e.g., when selecting a course offered by a different School, it is suggested to specify also the motivation of the request. In any event, students should follow the rules of the Manifesto of the academic year of their first enrolment.

Study plans are prepared on-line via Infostud (www.uniroma1.it/studenti/infostud). Each academic year the submission is permitted in a specific time window (for 2018-19, between the 15th of October, 2018 and the 15th of March, 2019). If needed, the study plan can be modified and resubmitted for approval in the next academic year (or also in the same year for serious reasons). Each year, the first submission of a new study plan may be done directly by the student. However, to change again the study plan in the same time window, first a request should be sent by e-mail to the Programme Coordinator of the course of study providing the motivations for canceling the previous plan.

Students will be able to register on Infostud to the exams of the current academic year only if they have submitted their study plan and received its approval. Approvals of study plans are given by the Programme Committee or directly by the Programme Coordinator.

A student honours programme is being activated for a limited number of highly qualified students that are registered to this Masters Degree. Upon selection, students in this programme will be assigned to a tutor and will be involved in additional scientific and educational activities, besides those being part of the regular course of study. These activities include, e.g., participation to PhD seminars or to summer/winter schools, the development of a technical task in the framework of a national or european research project, an R&D stage with an industrial partner, and so on, for a maximum of 100 hours per year. This may include also participation to the special courses of the Sapienza School of Advanced Studies (SSAS).

The call for applications is published each academic year, typically in the month of December. The submission deadline and the publication date of the results are specified in the call.

In a given academic year, applications are restricted to students who enrolled in the previous academic year to the first year of the Master of Science in Control Engineering for their first time, and that have earned by the 30th of November of the current academic year at least 42 credits in their first-year curriculum, reaching an average grade on exams larger or equal than twentyseven (out of thirty). The maximum number of students admitted to the honors program is currently four.

In order to complete successfully the honours programme, students must have fulfilled the planned scientific and educational activities and must have earned all the credits in their curriculum by the end of their second academic year, with an average grade on exams larger or equal than twentyseven (out of thirty).

Upon graduation, a student who has successfully completed the honours programme will receive a certificate that mentions the extra activities performed. Participation to the honours programme will be declared in the academic transcripts of the student. At that stage, Sapienza will assign an award equal to the amount of the registration fees paid for the last year of the course of study (in practice, the fees of the second year of study will be reimbursed).

All information relating to the final exam is contained in the Graduation section
