Attendance

The Degree Programme is taught in ItalianThe lessons are organized in 2 semesters:

  • 1° semester: from the last week of Septempre to few days before Christmas;
  • 2° semester: from the last week of February to the first week of June.

The lessons are planned from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.: the hours of lessons per week are 8 for 9 ECTS and 5 for 6 ECTS courses, respectively.

The lessons of the 1st year courses are planned at the Via Scarpa university pole, those of 2nd and 3rd year courses at the San Pietro in Vincoli university pole.  

5 regular exam sessions are planned for each year at January, February, June, July and September: 2 additional sessions are provided, in October and in March, which are reserved to  the students who have not completed the exams at the end of the 3rd year.

The curriculum can be personalized by the student through the 12 credits of elective subjects. Students must submit a study plan to formalize their choices. A list of recommended subjects is available in the download area of the page: https://web.uniroma1.it/cdaingchim/piani-di-studio/piani-di-studio.The Chemical and Materials Engineering Educational Area Committee assesses whether the choices made by the students are consistent with the curriculum. If they are consistent, the Committee will approve the study plan. The student can submit his/her study plan only once during the period that goes from the 1st of October to the 20th of March of the following year.

The excellence programme is a programme that provides students with additional training activities compared to those provided by the study programmes in which they are enrolled.  Students who have completed an excellence programme will receive a certificate that will be registered in the student's  academic career documentation. Thee University will also grant the student a prize which is equal to the fees of the last year of their Programme.

The admission requirements and the procedures that must be followed to carry out the activities are specified in the call for applications of the Study Programmes which are published during each academic year.
