The final exam (24 credits) is a written dissertation which the candidate needs to elaborate and discuss following the regulations and under the supervision of a professor belonging to their specific course. The Commission will test the candidate’s ability to apply their knowledge in the creation of a research linked to their course, to use specific instruments and to discuss scientific matters independently and effectively.
The graduation Commission, which is determined at Department level and composed of a supervisor and a co-examiner for each graduating student, having ascertained the presence of the minimum legal number of members, will collegially assign a maximum score of seven points. The Commission can also opt in favour of a cum laude. The thesis presentation is public and involves the active participation of the candidate.
