Graduation

The final exam consists in a dissertation prepared by candidates under the supervision of a professor of the Area Educational Board. The dissertation will test the knowledge acquired by students and their ability to expand and autonomously apply it to a specific context and to discuss it synthetically. The dissertation awards students 30 ECTS. The preparation of the dissertation will imply the development of an original and important project activity with a view to deal with project issues in innovative and application contexts, or with basic and/or methodological aspects of IT with special focus on research issues in a specific sector. Both dissertation typologies will include activities carried out in research programs and the publication of results of the scientific literature in the specific sector. The aim of the final exam is to assess the work carried out by candidates and their presentation of the subject, with reference to the expected learning outcomes.

The exam will consist in the presentation of a specific project activity or an experimental or theoretical activity to a Dissertation Panel appointed for this purpose. The dissertation and its presentation will test the knowledge acquired by students and their ability to expand and autonomously apply it to a specific context. The dissertation is worth 30 ECTS.
