Graduation

Each didactic path must end with the research phase and the drafting of the thesis. This phase is equivalent to 30 CFU, as reported in the table, and is therefore equivalent to one semester, and must be aimed at the specialization of the undergraduate in the specific chosen sector of professional orientation. The final exam for the attainment of the title consists of an original written paper, prepared with the criteria of the scientific text, the result of a research carried out with the methodological criteria of the demo-ethno-anthropological disciplines, adequately designed and agreed in detail with the supervisor in one of the following areas :
1. Empirical ethnographic research carried out on land both in Italy and in other countries, within local communities, with a period of stay in the research context of not less than four months.
2. Empirical ethnographic research carried out in other research contexts (institutions, public administrations, educational or health structures, etc.), or within operational projects under construction managed by governmental or non-governmental organizations, Italian or international, with a period of stay in the research context of not less than four months.
3. Historical-theoretical research, carried out following an adequate critical itinerary, in part or in whole in archives, museums or other scientific-cultural institutions, with a commitment that can be evaluated as equivalent to the permanence in the research contexts referred to in the previous points .
The test serves two purposes:

-To demonstrate the mature acquisition, adequate to the master's degree level, of contents and methodologies acquired in the two-year period;
- To initiate the professional application of skills, either in the field of pure research, or in the application sector.

The procedures for carrying out the final exam of the Master's Degree course in Ethno-Anthropological Disciplines include discussion, in front of a commission composed of seven members and assembled by the President of the CdS, preferably composed of teachers belonging to the course. The discussion focuses on the paper prepared according to the criteria specified in the previous point.
The paper must be characterized by originality of contents and prove the acquisition by the graduate with the learning outcomes.
The final grade is mostly made up of the weighted average of the exams taken; the thesis work has a maximum grade of 7 points starting from the weighted average grade.
