Description of the Study Plan

The current Degree Programme, which allows students to train as nurses and to continue their studies after professional licensing, was developed according to the provisions of the Ministerial Decree of November 3, 1999, n. 509 which was subsequently amended by the Ministerial Decree of October 22, 2004, n. 270.

The Degree Programme in Nursing aims to ensure the student an adequate mastery of methods and general scientific content through the acquisition of 180 credits (1 credit = 30 hours of lectures). This Degree Programme requires commitment, conscientiousness, love for others as well as for themselves, and a strong desire to acquire the essential tools and knowledge to care for the sick in a precise, timely, and conscientious way. Today’s study of nursing does not only mean studying diseases, but also knowing, evaluating, and acting with systemic cognition of human beings in their entirety and complexity on a psycho-somatic level, and in the correct socio-cultural and environmental context. Nursing graduates practice both within the national and regional health system as employees or self-employed professionals, as well as in private accredited facilities.
