At the end of the course the student will be able to:
• Know the applicable legislation, the ethical and deontological code of the Nurse.
• Understand the importance of treatment with respect for the dignity, privacy, confidentiality of the person and the confidentiality of the data obtained in the treatment process through the resolution of a clinical case.
• Identify the basic legal and ethical requirements of health care
• Analyze the ethical value of professional assistance and its involvement in the decision-making process through the resolution of clinical cases.
• Solve a clinical case by adopting using the terminologies NANDA, NIC and NOC.

Teaching will be carried out exclusively in presence, unless proven difficulties for some students.

Attendance at face-to-face teaching activities (ADF), elective teaching activities (ADE), supplementary activities (AI), vocational training activities (AFP) and internships is compulsory.
Attendance is verified by teachers by adopting the assessment methods established by the CDS Board. The attestation of attendance to the didactic activities of a given course is necessary for the student to take the related exam. In order to take the exam relating to a specific course, it is necessary that the presence in the classroom of 66% of the hours corresponding to the credits assigned to the course has been documented.

The student will have to develop the practical application of a theory to a clinical case, writing a short essay.
This will contribute to the final evaluation.
The final assessment will consist of a written test with open-ended questions.
The course aims to gradually develop awareness of the meaning of professional practice
and the direct assumption of responsibility through care activities. Its purpose is to promote
the acquisition of fundamental knowledge and skills in nursing care — including preventive
and educational responsibilities — integrated with competencies related to the nursing
decision-making process and care planning. In addition, the course seeks to foster
understanding and internalization of the taxonomic elements associated with the nursing
diagnostic language.
