Knowledge and abilities expected The student must be in possession of the essential notions of Legal Medicine for an appropriate one exercise of the nursing profession. Course program 1. Definition, tasks and purposes of the Legal Medicine. 2. Information and consent to health treatments: legal bases, jurisprudence and ethical-ethical; essential consent requirements; legal capacity and ability to act; proceedings judicial interdiction and incapacitation; natural incapacity; support administration; consent of the minor. 3. Mandatory health checks and treatments: legal bases and procedural procedures; definition and meaning of the means of restraint, risks in use, penal profiles and responsibilities professional nurse. 4. The certificate, the report and the complaints: notion of public official, in charge of public service ed exercising a public service; penalistic and civil aspects regarding certifications; contents of the report, ownership of the obligation and criminal relevance of the omission of the report; criminal offenses office; malicious and negligent personal injury; contents of the judicial complaint, ownership of the obligation e criminal relevance; health complaints. 5. The medical record and the nursing record: characteristics, functions, contents, penalties and ethics. 6. Professional secrecy and privacy protection: penal and ethical-deontological aspects in terms of Professional secret; main contents of Legislative Decree no. 196/2003 (Code concerning the protection of personal data); rules of conduct in health with reference to the provisions of the Data Protection Authority. 7. The professional responsibility of the nurse: concept and types of responsibilities in relationship to the professional acting of the nurse; criminal responsibility, psychological element of the crime, profiles of the professional fault; causality relationship; contractual, extra-contractual and burden of liability test; professional relationship from social contact and guarantee position; professional responsibility d'èquipe; responsibility profiles in the relationship between nurses and support workers; profiles of responsibility for the administration of medicines; insurance aspects. 8. The concept of damage in forensic medicine: patrimonial and non-pecuniary damage. 9. Sexual violence: characteristics and evaluation protocols in the field of forensic medicine; the Law n. 66/1996 (Rules against sexual violence); the D.L. n. 11/2009 (Urgent measures on public security and against sexual violence, as well as on persecutory acts). 10. Child maltreatment and sexual abuse: penal and jurisprudential aspects, signs characteristic and legal medical evaluation. 11. The voluntary interruption of pregnancy and conscientious objection: Law n. 194/1978 (Rules for the social protection of motherhood and the voluntary interruption of pregnancy); marketing of RU 486 and ministerial guidelines. 12. Refusal of treatment, euthanasia, murder of consenting, instigation or help to suicide, fury therapeutic, advance treatment directives: penal, jurisprudential and ethicalodontological aspects. 13. The donation of organs and tissues: legal bases, assessment of death by cardiac arrest and in encephalic lesions, lawfulness of the levy, modality of expression of consent. 15. The Mortuary Police Regulations: medical records after the death of a person; period of observation of corpses; reporting of causes of death; diagnostic check-up and judicial autopsy. 16. Main elements of forensic traumatology: blunt lesions (bruises, bruises, wounds lacerally contused and injuries to the deep organs); great traumas (injuries from road accidents, precipitation injury); injuries from special tools (cut, toe, toe and cut injuries, from slash, from firearm); acute asphyxiation (suffocation, hanging, strangulation, throttling, drowning).
