1. General information on infectious diseases and epidemiology of infectious diseases
2. Respiratory system infections: bacterial and viral pneumonia, tuberculosis.
3. Gastrointestinal tract infections and viral hepatitis: generality, epidemiology, and clinical features of HAV, HBV, and HCV viral hepatitis.
4. Kidney and urinary tract infections
5. Sexually acquired infections: general, epidemiological and clinical: syphilis, gonorrhea,
HIV.
6. Central Nervous System infections: meningitis, encephalitis and brain abscesses
7. Care-related infections in patients admitted to the internist and surgical setting: decubitus, vascular device infections, and urinary catheter.
8. Infections in the orthopedic field: osteomyelitis and infections of synthetic media
9. Infections in critically ill patients in intensive care settings: ventilator-associated pneumonia, infections related to the use of extracorporeal circulation
10. Multidrug-resistant germ infections and communicable infections in the care setting:
isolation in hospital settings
11. Occupational risk in healthcare workers. Prevention and post-exposure prophylaxis methods.
