Learning outcomes

At the end of the course, the student will be able to perform a functional assessment of individual joint districts, both from a biomechanical and muscular perspective.

Prerequisites

Anatomy of the human osteoarticular and muscular system

Programme

Theoretical and practical lessons on passive and active-assisted mobilization of the joints: glenohumeral joint, scapulothoracic joint, elbow, wrist, intrinsic joints of the hand, hip joint, knee, ankle, and intrinsic joints of the foot.

Lessons mode

Lectures supported by slide presentations, videos, and demonstrative images.

Frequency

Attendance is mandatory, with a maximum of 30% absences allowed based on the total number of lessons (this may vary depending on the teaching module).

Exam mode

The practical and oral exams take place in the same session: the student will have a fellow classmate available to act as the subject for evaluation. The student will be required to answer questions orally and perform the instructor’s requests manually on their classmate.

Example exam questions

The questions may cover all topics addressed in the different modules of the course. A practical demonstration is also required.
