Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, the student should be able to recognize the main signs and symptoms of rheumatologic diseases, understanding the differences in the clinical presentation between inflammatory and mechanical conditions. The student should also be able to identify the main signs and symptoms, as well as the typical laboratory abnormalities of systemic autoimmune diseases. The student must also be familiar with the main orthopedic diseases and be able to implement rehabilitation strategies in patients with trauma, dislocations, and osteoarthritis affecting both peripheral and axial anatomical sites.
Prerequisites
The student must have knowledge of the fundamentals of musculoskeletal anatomy and physiology. They must also understand the principles of joint biomechanics.
