TRM INTERNSHIP II Single channel
Chair (Coordinator) and Rapporteur: RAFFAELLA MONACO
Lecturers
Objectives
Processing of digital images of contrastographic and CT examinations
Identification of the components of the radiological equipment: Mammograph-Description Mammographic techniques
Identification of the components of the Computed Tomography equipment
Learning outcomes
At the end of Internship II, the student should demonstrate that they have consolidated the technical, scientific, and operational competencies acquired during the first internship, developing greater autonomy and awareness in performing radiological activities.
Prerequisites
To access Internship II, the student must have successfully completed Internship I and acquired the basic theoretical and practical competencies developed during the first year of the Bachelor’s Degree
Programme
knowledge and application of the techniques and investigation protocols for the CT study of the main body districts such as Skull, Thorax, Abdomen, Rachis and Knee.
Knowledge and application of investigation techniques and protocols for the MR study of the main body districts such as Encephalous, Shoulder, Abdomen, Rachis and Knee.
Knowledge of the materials used in diagnostic and interventional procedures. Preparation of the angiographic room, user acceptance. Knowledge of the main diagnostic protocols and interventional procedures. Acquisition and reproduction of angiographic images.
Knowledge of how to perform a mammogram.
Diagnostic Radiology
Manage the radiological procedure in a diagnostic room for studies with m.d.c., ensuring the correct use of the contrast agent.
Understand and describe the technical modalities of bone mineral concentration examinations.
Senological diagnostics
Understand and Describe the operative modalities foreseen for the TSRM at a Mammography Diagnostic correlating them to the used equipments. Understand and Describe the different behaviors in the conduct of clinical mammography and screening activities. Understand and describe the different behaviors in conducting second-level senological investigations (Stereotaxis, needle aspirate, eco-guided etc.)
Interventional radiology
Understand and describe the operative modalities foreseen for the TSRM in an operating room Orthopedic, Neurosurgical, angiography, hemodynamics and during the development of CPRE, correlating them to the equipment used and acquiring manual skills of the image intensifier with C-shaped arc. post processing.
Computed Tomography
Manage the radiological procedure for a CT exam. Understand and describe the characteristics of the contrast agents used in TC correlating them to the modalities of use and to specific radiological examinations. Post processing
