Technical training relevant to performing the role of a TRSM effectively
Prerequisites
In order to understand the teaching content and to achieve the learning objectives, at the beginning of the didactic activities foreseen by the didactic module the student must possess the basic knowledge of radiation physics, human anatomy, biology and computer science.

SMALL INTESTINE: Anatomy (Duodenum, Jejunum, Ileum); Physiology; Intestinal Obstruction; Acute Ischemia of the Superior Mesenteric Artery; Intestinal Infarction
COLON AND RECTUM: Anatomy; Acute Appendicitis; Diverticular Disease; Crohn’s Disease; Ulcerative Colitis; Toxic Megacolon; Polyps; Polyposis; Colorectal Tumors; Peritonitis

Frequency
The Professor delivers lectures with traditional methods with audiovisual aids and scheduling of lessons as reported on GOMP Classroom /timetable system, published on the website of the Course. Following the Regulations of the Course, the student is required to compulsorily attend the teaching and professionalizing activities. The frequency is checked by the teachers through signature updated lists provided by the Didactic Secretariat as established by the CCL, on the Academic Presidency indication, as established by CCL. The certificate of attendance to the teaching course is required to the student to be admitted at the final test.
Exam mode
To pass the exam the student must demonstrate a sufficient knowledge of ionizing radiation physics, a basic knowledge of biology and anatomy and computer science and to be able to describe in detail the different radiological modalities, procedures and techniques with the respective role of the TSRM. To participate in the exam, the student must first have completed the practical internship provided for by the educational system in the number of hours provided. The final exam will be oral and includes assessments for all the modules provided, which will contribute equally to the determination of the final grade.
