Course program
The course includes an introductory section on the fundamental principles of pharmacokinetics, pharmacodynamics, and toxicology, which are essential for understanding how drugs and chemical substances interact with the human body.
The second part of the course focuses on pharmacovigilance and drug development, analysing the phases of preclinical and clinical trials, the evaluation of efficacy and safety, post-marketing monitoring, and the reporting of adverse reactions.
Finally, the course examines the side effects and toxicities that may result from exposure to or improper use of drugs, with particular attention to the principles of prevention and risk management in the workplace and the environment.
