Understanding the main theoretical and methodological elements of community nursing and the helping relationship.

There are no prerequisites for understanding or attending the course.

Module: GENERAL PSYCHOLOGY

Course contents
• Some theoretical and methodological aspects will be illustrated, emphasizing the interest in the social groups that represent potential users of the services in which the nursing students will operate: students, the elderly, the mentally ill, prisoners, immigrants...
• The transformations of the image of the nurse over time will also be introduced, leaving room for the new professional opportunities offered in contemporary society.
• Finally, the importance of teamwork and synergy with the institutional and informal networks characterizing the communities will be emphasized.
