By the end of the course, students will be able to:

Grasp the pathophysiological basis of emergency conditions

Know the principles of immediate first aid and basic life support

Practical skills

Competently perform BLS maneuvers (CPR, AED use, airway management)

Conduct primary and secondary patient assessments

Apply techniques for hemorrhage control, shock management, and basic trauma care

Decision-making & professional competence

Assess emergency scenarios and select appropriate interventions

Act safely and responsibly in patient management

Collaborate with other health professionals in critical situations

Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues

Students enrolling in this course should already have acquired the following:

Basic biomedical disciplines

Anatomy, physiology, and pathophysiology of cardiovascular, respiratory, and nervous systems

General and specific pathology

Physiology of movement and biomechanics

Clinical medicine and emergency basics

Fundamentals of emergency medicine and acute pathology

Recognition of vital signs (heart rate, blood pressure, oxygen saturation, respiratory rate)

Basic pharmacology and common drug knowledge

First aid techniques and BLS (Basic Life Support)

Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) procedures

Airway management and basic ventilatory support

Hemorrhage control, shock management, trauma care

Methodological and relational competencies

Critical reading of scientific literature

Clinical-assistance methodology

Communication skills and emergency teamwork

Official / Academic prerequisites

Completion of foundational courses (e.g. anatomy, physiology, pathology, medical sciences)
