ADE Single channel

Chair (Coordinator) and Rapporteur: MAURIZIO SORICE

Learning outcomes

At the end of the ADE cycle, students will be able to:
Knowledge and Understanding
Describe the fundamental principles of biomedical laboratory techniques applied to clinical diagnostics and research.
Understand the cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying pathophysiological processes, with particular reference to inflammation, coagulation, immune response, and neoplastic transformation.
Know the foundations of the main analytical methods (biochemical, immunological, and molecular) used in the laboratory.
Recognize safety and quality standards in laboratory practice, including the principles of Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and internal and external quality control.
Applying Knowledge and Understanding
Correctly apply basic biomedical laboratory techniques in the preparation, analysis, and interpretation of biological samples.
Integrate theoretical knowledge with practical activity to understand the clinical significance of laboratory results.
Properly use laboratory instruments and information systems for analytical data management.
Making Judgements
Evaluate the quality and reliability of laboratory data and interpret their diagnostic meaning.
Identify and solve technical or interpretative issues during experimental or diagnostic activities.
Communication Skills
Communicate clearly and appropriately with the healthcare team regarding laboratory results and technical issues encountered.
Use scientific terminology effectively in both Italian and English when describing protocols, methodologies, and results.
Learning Skills
Independently update their knowledge on technological and methodological innovations in the biomedical laboratory field.
Deepen specific topics presented during seminars, also through the critical consultation of international scientific literature.
