Learning outcomes
The learning outcomes of a tertiary (or advanced) level diagnostic imaging program focus on acquiring superior skills in the interpretation and clinical use of imaging techniques, including the integration of innovative technologies such as artificial intelligence.
Students should be able to manage, acquire, and analyze complex images generated by advanced tools, such as magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
Prerequisites
Prerequisites for a Level 3 Diagnostic Imaging program include basic knowledge of physics, medical informatics, anatomy, and imaging techniques.
Familiarity with the principles of medical imaging and an understanding of the principles and contraindications to diagnostic tests.
Programme
MRI Safety: Basic Physical Principles, Magnet and Various Components, Radiofrequency and Gradient Coils, MRI Image Generation, Acquisition Techniques, Artifacts

Lessons mode
It takes place through a study program that includes theoretical lessons and practical activities,
lectures and learning tests.
Frequency
Attendance is mandatory with a minimum of 66% of theoretical lessons, as specified in the course regulations.
Exam mode
Assessment for a "Diagnostic Imaging 3" course typically involves a written or oral exam. The specific assessment method is communicated by individual instructors at the beginning of the course.
Assessment method: Assessment is via a written or oral exam and a final practical exam.
Specific details: Exact details (syllabus, topics, and reference texts) are provided by instructors at the beginning of the course.
Attendance: Attendance is mandatory.
Example exam questions
2) The rollover artifact occurs when:
a. A metal object is present
b. When the FOV is larger than the object being examined
c. When the FOV is smaller than the object being examined
d. All of the above
3) Describe the MRI examination of the upper abdomen:
