Learning outcomes
At the end of the course, students will have acquired the knowledge and methodology for a correct approach to infectious pathology, with specific reference to the concepts of epidemiology and microbiology, and will be able to implement the required prophylaxis and public health measures.
Prerequisites
In order to understand the contents of the course and achieve the learning objectives, at the beginning of the teaching activities envisaged in the teaching module the student must possess general knowledge regarding the general biology and the structure/functioning of the eukaryotic cell. Basic knowledge of anatomy and physiology is also required.

Meningitis and encephalitis, Endocarditis, Viral hepatitis, HIV/AIDS, Respiratory infections (pneumonia, Covid-19), Tuberculosis, Gastrointestinal infections, Salmonellosis, Clostridioides, Brucellosis, Exanthematic diseases, Monkeypox, Herpetic infections, Urinary tract infections, Osteomyelitis and prosthetic infections
Radiation physics, photon-matter interaction, decays Radiation damage The concept of radiological risk applied to diagnostic investigations, dosimetry Safety procedure regarding radiation protection in the workplace Occupational risk factors Diagnostic: Nuclear medicine, CT and MRI
