Normal and pathological ageing. Main psychiatric disorders in older adults, with particular reference to depression, anxiety disorders, delirium, dementia, psychotic and behavioural disorders. Cognitive, functional and occupational assessment of older people. Principles of pharmacological, non-pharmacological and rehabilitation treatment. The role of the occupational therapist in promoting autonomy, participation, quality of life and caregiver support across different care settings.
