  • Epidemiology module program as part
    of the Biomedical Services Quality course

     

    The aim of the course is to provide
    the methodological tools for understanding and conducting epidemiological
    studies.

    The course focuses on learning the
    basic concepts of epidemiology, measures of occurrence in epidemiology,
    in-depth knowledge of the main sources of epidemiological data, and useful
    tools for conducting an epidemiological study. The different designs of epidemiological
    studies are analyzed, including descriptive, analytical (cohort studies,
    case-control studies), and experimental studies, and techniques for taking into
    account possible sources of bias of studies.

    Students must be familiar with the
    basic concepts of health statistics to correctly understand the concepts
    presented.

    The Epidemiology module is part of
    the Biomedical Services Quality course and consists of a total of 20 hours of
    lessons (2 CFU).
