Objectives
This workshop, which consists of two integrated modules from the disciplines of technological design and thermal science, primarily aims to provide students with the methods and tools they need to carry out design work for the regeneration of existing architectural heritage in an informed way, so as to improve its environmental, ecological, bioclimatic and energy performance. The main focus of such experimentation is to carry out techno-morphological and functional improvements to buildings and their technological components and systems in a way that is closely integrated with solutions that are consistent with their initial purpose, evaluated in terms of their originality and innovative performance, assessing the alternative options they put forward with a view to greater social, environmental and economic sustainability and the improved level of resilience of the buildings and the built environment involved.
Learning outcomes
