Logic and techniques of demographic analysis. Events, biographies, life histories. Analysis of generational renewal and extinction and their impact on sustainable development. Sources of demographic and environmental data. Population size, growth and structure in relation to sustainable development goals. Role of the family, family transformations and their impact on environmental and social dynamics. Population forecasting. Analysis of the effects of demographic dynamics on social and economic transformations. Effects of demographic evolution on the market for goods and services. Role of demographic policies in promoting sustainable development.

Frequency
During the lessons, a historical and comparative approach will be used that places demographic changes in their historical and institutional context of reference and emphasizes their importance in the past, present, and years to come. Demographic phenomena are integrated with sociological, economic, health, and political perspectives so that students gain an understanding of the patterns and causes of population change historically and in the contemporary world.
