Course objectives

Knowledge and understanding: Students will be able to understand the mechanisms of why and how economic systems change over time. Apply Knowledge and understanding: Students will be able to understand why some regions of the world continue to lag behind and why others have developed early. Making judgement: students will develop independent judgment about the various determinants of economic development in a long-term perspective. Communication Skills: Students will develop communication skills to convey the fundamental issues of the discipline in accordance with the scientific method of the international community Learning skills: Students will be able to learn the models and tools for analysing the major transformations of Western economies and, to some extent, other regions of the world that will be useful in related disciplines
