Causes and factors of childbirth and birth phenomena. Course of the physiological birth. Maternal fetal labor monitoring. Psychosomatic Obstetric.

By the end of this course, students should be able to:

Understand the anatomy, physiology, and embryology of the female reproductive system.

Describe normal pregnancy, labor, delivery, and postpartum physiology.

Recognize and manage common obstetric complications (e.g. preeclampsia, gestational diabetes, hemorrhage).

Know common gynecological disorders (e.g. menstrual disorders, endometriosis, ovarian cysts, cancers) and their basic management.

Perform history-taking, physical examinations, basic diagnostic procedures (e.g. Pap smear, pelvic exam, ultrasound).

Understand principles of contraception, fertility, menopause, and sexual health.

Appreciate ethical, legal, and public health aspects in women’s reproductive health.
