Objectives

1       Educational objectives
1.1       Knowledge and understanding
The course aims to provide the student with the knowledge and understanding of the conceptual, methodological and technological tools that cover the various aspects useful for supporting the diverse problems relating to the management of human resources by means of digital technologies.
1.2       Applying knowledge and understanding
Thanks to the course, the student will be able to proceed to the definition, design and implementation of a solution for a problem relating to the management of human resources, based on examples, methods and technologies presented in class.
1.3       Making judgements
Both the written test and the project work put the student in front of unexpected situations that urge the development of ability to make decisions autonomously, both in content (the goal of the design), and in the tools.
1.4       Communication skills
The skills learnt in this course include the ability to focus on common problems in organizations of any size, and to establish a dialectical interview with those directly involved, at all levels, to identify metrics and / or operational solutions to tackle a problem, as well as to support organizational or strategic decisions. The project work requires on the one hand to interact and to take into account the needs of "clients" (real or presumed) of the development undertaken, and on the other hand to defend the choices made during the discussion required for the examination.
1.5       Learning skills
The course provides on the one hand knowledge, models and general concepts, on the other (in the project work) it requires to develop practical experiences with multiple integrated tools, in most cases with the need of searching the accompanying documentation. This type of experience, together with a solid core knowledge in the related areas, will determine the best conditions for an autonomous development of further knowledge.
