Lecturers
Objectives
The internship is carried out under the guidance of a manager and can be external (performed at companies or external bodies) or internal (carried out within the degree course). In both cases, the internship lasts about three months and requires that the student be offered a problem in the real world, to be solved through the elaboration of a project developed with a professional approach.
Learning outcomes
The internship is carried out under the guidance of a teacher who is responsible for it.
As internship work, the student will be presented with a real-world problem, which she/he will have to solve through the development of a project developed with a professional approach.
The internship allows the student to put the skills acquired during the training course to the test. The work carried out will be presented to the final examination commission which will verify the ability of the student to present and discuss the results of the internship work with clarity and mastery.
Prerequisites
The internship can be requested in the second semester of the third year, following the achievement of at least 126 cfu.
Programme
Each internship is different and the work to be done is agreed with the internship manager. The aim of the internship is to apply what has been learned during the training course by developing a project with a professional approach.
Books
Each student defines the reference bibliography with her/his internship supervisor based on the internship work to be carried out.
Lessons mode
The internship represents the last stage of the training path and is carried out under the supervision of a responsible teacher. Each student will have to carry out a project whose objectives are defined starting from a real-world problem, which is required to be developed with a professional approach.
The internship can be internal, i.e. carried out on a topic proposed starting from a theme studied during the training course, or external, i.e. carried out at a company.
In both cases the internship lasts approximately three months, working full time.
Each student must produce an internship report in which the work carried out will be described.
Frequency
Attendance for an internal internship is scheduled with the teacher responsible for the internship.
Attendance of the internship carried out at a company or institution is established via the specific platform of the Soul training project, which can be reached via the address https://www.jobsoul.it/
Exam mode
During the graduation session, the final exam takes place, which consists of the presentation and discussion of the internship work in front of the final exam commission.
During the presentation, the final exam Commission verifies the ability of the undergraduate or graduate student to present and discuss the results of the internship work with clarity and mastery and to respond adequately to any questions posed by the members of the Commission.
The final exam commission will evaluate the internship work and its presentation, and the grade awarded will contribute to the definition of the graduation grade.
Example exam questions
During the presentation of the internship work, the final test commission can ask any questions about the work carried out, which the candidate will have to answer appropriately.
