CONTEMPORARY ITALIAN LITERATURE
Course objectives
The module explores the field of interrelations between the two expressive means, in particular with regard to Italian culture; more specifically, the expressive possibilities that cinematographic language makes available to literary experience, in the evolution of its forms.

The course involves reading several Italian novels from the 1950s in their entirety.

Attendance is optional, although recommended.
Exam mode
The examination is ORAL. The knowledge and skills required will be tested by means of an open written examination. The preparation will be considered adequate: 1) if the student demonstrates the ability to expound using relevant terminology; 2) if the student demonstrates an understanding of the issues addressed in the course and is able to apply them autonomously to the reflection on the works proposed, showing that he/she has been able to elaborate on the contents of the course.
Lesson mode
The course will consist of lectures with discussion.
