This course covers the political and social history of contemporary Europe in its connections with the rest of the world and global dynamics.

There are no specific prerequisites.

Lectures

Attendance is not compulsory but recommended. Books to be studied are the same for attending and non-attending students.

Students will be assessed on the basis of their knowledge of the subjects covered in the course.

The course will address the main events of contemporary history from the age of empires to globalization, focusing particularly on the history of Europe and its relationships with the rest of the world.
