Guide to Language AAFs (English, French, Spanish)
This channel is dedicated to training activities (AAFs) for English, French and Spanish. The programme includes the opportunity to take courses and pass the relevant proficiency test at the University Language Centre (CLA).
N.B. This channel does not provide recognition of external language certifications. For recognition, students can contact the other AAF channels or the academic secretariats of the departments to which their degree programmes belong.
AAF courses and exams are organised by the following Language Assistants and Experts (CEL):

English Dr Luigi Baker luigi.baker@uniroma1.it https://cla.web.uniroma1.it/it/baker-luigi

For AAFs, each degree programme requires a specific number of credits, from 2 to 6. The relevant preparatory courses are organised during the academic year, starting with a beginner level in the first semester, for which 3 credits can be obtained, and continuing in the second semester, for which 4 and 6 credits can be obtained. Students are asked to consult the CLA pages dedicated to AAFs for up-to-date information.

Mandatory Registration Procedure

Since the AAF codes on Infostud are identical for each language, once you have made your reservation on the portal, it is essential to send written confirmation if you intend to take the tests for French and Spanish:
For French: Write an email to Dr Chiarello.
For Spanish: Send an email to Dr Nicolau.

Subject: Confirmation of enrolment in the AAF exam for [Language].
This communication is necessary for the proper management of classroom capacity and timings.

Important: For any last-minute notices, changes to timetables or classrooms, it is essential to regularly consult both the CLA page dedicated to AAF (https://cla.web.uniroma1.it/it/esami-af-lingue) and the personal pages of the individual lecturers/CELs indicated above.
Exam Procedures
Exams can be taken in paper format (English) or on Sapienza's e-learning platform (Moodle) (French and Spanish).
To take the exams, you must bring the following with you:
1. Valid identity document;
