ARCHEOLOGY AND ART HISTORY OF ANCIENT NEAR EAST I
Course objectives
The course intends to introduce the students to the modern theories, methodologies and techniques of the archeological, artistic and literary analysis of the most important ancient eastern cultures of Mesopotamia. Students will know the artistic resources and cultural heritage corresponding to the area and the period studied, of tourist interest, suitable for professional use. This knowledge can be applied to the study of the promotion and pedagogy of the historical artistic and archaeological heritage, developing the ability to formulate judgments by coordinating and contextualizing the topics professionally, making a correct use of the available bibliography, and being able to carry out research on the specific aspects of the disciplinary sector bound to tourism studies.
