Learning outcomes
By the end of the journal club traineeship, students will be able to select, with guidance from the instructor, recent and relevant papers on human evolution and situate them within current scientific debates. They will be able to read a study critically, identifying its research questions, hypotheses, methods, results and limitations, and distinguishing between data, interpretations and levels of uncertainty. Students will also be able to discuss key points in a well-argued manner, formulate relevant comments and questions, and produce short written critiques or structured oral presentations, with appropriate use of scholarly literature and citations.
